When can students visit the library?
Students visit the ISP Library on a regular schedule with their teachers and there is plenty of time to explore the collection and check out books of interest. We also have the library open for ISP families from 7:30-8:00am and from 3-3:00pm (2-2:30pm on Wednesdays due to early dismissal) for family check out.
Students, teachers, families and staff may check out physical library materials.
Students and families can check out physical books for 3 weeks and renew them once. Teachers and staff may check out physical books for 9 weeks and renew them once. All patrons can check out ebooks for three weeks and they are returned automatically.
The ISP Library uses the Dewey Decimal System. Call numbers for non-fiction books begin with a Dewey number, then the first three letters of the author’s last name, then the language code...(more)
Why do books have different color spine labels?
LANGUAGE CODES:
Chinese — CH (Red label)
English — EN (Clear label)
Japanese — JA (Blue label)
SP — Spanish (Yellow label)

How do I place a hold on a book?
Go to library.intlschool.org and choose TIS library catalog.
Login using the stem of your TIS email and use “books” as the password. For example if your email is 2023spdankel@intlschool.org just use 2023spdankel to login and “books” as the password.
Search or browse for a book and then select the “hold” button. Students can pick up their holds when they visit the library.
Students can place holds on books that are currently checked out. Teachers, please contact us for your login info.
